Out and About

March 27, 2007

This weekend was nice. The weather has been great. Jack really enjoys being outside unless the sun is in his face. He's really smiling a lot now. He actually plays with his toys a little. He has also rolled over to his side. It's kind of funny that he has realized that he has toes. All of the Grandparents came over on Saturday and we went shopping and then to dinner. Jack behaved very well. He cat-napped all day. Every time we would think that he was down for a good nap, we would look up and see those beautiful eyes wide open. We also stopped by to see Aunt Angie and Uncle Todd. Jack "talked" to Aunt Angie a lot. He's gets the most serious look on his face. I think it would be pretty interesting to know what he was saying.

He said what??

March 21, 2007

Jack is now 3 months old and more adorable every day. This weekend we went to Fort Payne. First stop was Grandma and Grandpa Gruber's for a birthday party for Uncle Don. We got to see Granny Gordon and the rest of the family. Then it was off to Nana and Pop's to stay the night. On Sunday, Pop was giving Jack a bath and as the water ran across his face he squealed out "mom-ma". They insist it was very clear. Jonathan insists it was mere coincidence. Of course, he also insists he's going to say "da-da" first.

Up to this point, Jack hasn't really noticed Oliver. This week I have noticed that he watches Oli. The look on his face is serious, like he is trying to figure Oli out. It's going to be interesting when Jack gets big enough to chase Oli around and they fight over toys.

Busy...Busy

March 13, 2007

Wow, we've been so busy since our last blog. It makes me sad to go to work knowing that Jack and Jonathan are at home. It is tough on Jonathan too, he isn't getting a lot of sleep but he does great with him. The sitter is working out well. Both Jack and Oliver like Miss Rebecca a lot, she takes them for walks when the weather is pretty. Aunt Amy came into town and we went out to dinner, she couldn't believe how much Jack has grown. I can't either. He really likes to blow spit bubbles and "talk". We know it is kind of early, but we think Jack may be teething. He found Jonathan's thumb!! He's also really starting to enjoy his toys. He's really observant of his surroundings and just lights up when Jonathan gets home from work. He likes to play on his tummy-time surfboard and kick at his link-a-doo's.

Jack got to meet my friend, Kristin and her cutie-pie kids, Hayden and Libby. Kris and her husband, Sloan, just moved from Phoenix to Savannah and this is the first time we've seen them in over a year. Of course, Jack has spent the night at nana's and grandma's since we last blogged. And we got a package of goodies from Aunt Kathy that had lots of Bears and Cubs clothes and a baby bjorn carrier. Jack loves the carrier. We use it to take our walks around our neighborhood and Grandma has even used it in the mall. He likes it much more than the stroller. Sometimes it puts him right to sleep.
